Elmsett land away Sunday Shield draw
AFTER scoring six times in each of their home ties, Elmsett United have been drawn away in the quarter-finals of this season’s Anglian Radio Kids’ Trust Suffolk Sunday Shield.
Elmsett United defeated Boleyn 6-2 before beating Wetherden 6-4 in the third round to reach the last eight.
However, they will now be away to Westbourne Warriors, who have a home draw for the third round in a row. Westbourne Warriors have so far beaten Pakenham 4-0 and Rosary 2-1.
Holbrook Swan, the 2016 runners-up, will be away to Capel Plough, who put out Playford in a penalty shoot-out in the last round.
Amboed United notched double figures when they won 10-2 at home to Laxfield United in round one, but then had a walkover against Ixworth Pykkerell. They will be away to Walton Wanderers.
Occold, who have so far won 2-1 at Martlesham Old Boys and 5-0 at Godolphin, now Fusilier away in the last eight.
