Suffolk County School’s FA Secretary James Morley said: “We wanted to provide all of the finalists with a county cup final that represents the great achievement which each of those schools, teachers and players have achieved throughout the course of the season.

“Needham Market FC is a venue that allows us to achieve this, from playing on a Step 3 grass pitch, with changing rooms and refreshments for spectators to food for the players after the game.

“Massive congratulations to all of those schools who won their final; there was some great football on show across the nine games, with a lot of talented young players coming through that shows Suffolk football is in good hands.

“We would also like to thank George Burley, who is an SCSFA Life Member, for coming to Needham Market on the Thursday of our finals to present the medals and trophies to the finalists.

“Also a thank you to all the teachers who I have worked with this season. This was my last season organising the competitions, and it has been great to get to know everyone involved and I hope you enjoy the rest of the Summer term and look forward to starting the county cup competitions again in September.”

Suffolk County School’s FA Chairman Robert Peace said: “I am extremely proud of the staff at SCSFA, who put in a great deal of time and energy into planning and delivering the finals with special praise to secretary James Morley.

“The finals were a great event and showcased the high level of talent within Suffolk. I would like to thank Needham Market FC and the Academy for their hospitality and help during the three days and for everyone who attended and made the finals special for all the players involved.

“Finally, sincere thanks to Suffolk FA for their support at the finals and throughout the season to help us achieve the goals we set out at the AGM."

Suffolk County Schools’ FA President Michael Hallam said: “As an organisation, managed by volunteers promoting school football within Suffolk, we have made vast strides to improve the football experience for both boys and girls across the county.

“This football experience is brilliantly showcased annually through the nine county cup finals, held over three days, for the various age groups.

“My sincere thanks goes to all the school coaches, players and supporters for their commitment and sportsmanship, shown throughout this festival of school football.

“This event was again very successfully hosted by Needham Market FC And so well organised by James Morley, with excellent attendance and support by many members of the Suffolk FA I thank them all for their continued commitment to school football within Suffolk.”

Suffolk County School’s FA Treasurer Richard Lawson said: “The finals went extremely well. The standard of football throughout Suffolk Schools has improved year-by-year during my involvement with the organisation, especially the girls' competitions, which have become a major part of the finals.

“Over the past five or six years, girls' football has become a triumph for the teachers/coaches in the county and everyone involved should be proud of their efforts. Well done!”
