ACC & GDC players 2017-18

Search is on for talented females

TALENTED female players are required to join the Suffolk FA Elite Player Pathway Selection programme.

SUFFOLK FA are looking for talented female players to join their Elite Player Pathway Selection programme.

Players who are eligible are those who play for a mixed team or who excel within their club environment or who have played within an Advanced Coaching Centre or Centre of Excellence under the previous structure.

These players are invited to attend selection days at age groups for U10, U12, U14 and U16.

Suffolk FA Girls’ & Women’s football Development Officer Rebecca Bolton said: “Players need to be committed to their football development to take a place in the season-long centre and be able to attend training each week.”

The Elite Player Pathway Selection programme is split into two tiers – the FA Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) and the Girls’ Development Centre (GDC), both of which are sponsored by HomeStore Self Storage.

The Suffolk FA Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) will allow talented players to improve their skills through quality coaching run by Suffolk FA and licensed by The FA.

Players will benefit from coaching at a Mid Suffolk venue on a Monday evening mixed with competitive fixtures representing Suffolk against other regional centres and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any player’s club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group, nutrition advice and access to physiotherapy.

The Suffolk FA Girls’ Development Centre (GDC) will allow talented players who are working towards the ACC the opportunity to improve their skills through quality coaching ran by Suffolk FA.

Players will benefit from coaching at an Ipswich venue on a Monday evening mixed with competitive fixtures representing Suffolk against other regional centres and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any player’s club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group and nutrition advice.

As part of these selection days Suffolk County Schools’ Football Association (SCSFA) coaches will be in attendance looking for players to represent the SCSFA at U14 and U16 level for the 2018-19 season in the South East England Schools Football Association (SEESFA) League.

Suffolk FA have regionalised selection days to make them more accessible for players, parents and to support travel arrangements. If players are successful they will be contacted to attend the final selection day on Monday, July 16th.
