THE curtain comes down on this season’s Suffolk FA county cup finals with the Crown Imperial Youth Cup Finals Day on Sunday.

Whitton United are hosting nine finals at their King George Vth ground off old Norwich Road in Ipswich (Postcode IP1 6LE) from 10.30am onwards.

Suffolk FA County Cup Competitions Manager Adrian Moye said: “The staging of this season’s county cup finals have been an unqualified success.

“We have had three Sunday cup finals on ‘Super Sunday’ at AFC Sudbury, we had two finals on Bank Holiday Monday at Colchester United and four on consecutive nights at Ipswich Town.

“Needham Market also staged two of our finals and we are looking to maintain the feelgood factor that has prevailed throughout on Sunday as the cup finals season reaches its conclusion.

“The Suffolk FA staff, directors and volunteers have all helped to make the finals memorable occasions and also run smoothly and efficiently.”

Spectators attending Sunday’s finals are advised to park on the adjoining Anglia Parkway retail park (Postcode IP1 5QP).

The only final not going ahead is the Girls’ Under-13 Cup Final between Beccles Town and Ipswich Valley Rangers.

This will take place on the second day of the KBB Suffolk FA Grassroots Festival, also being hosted at Whitton United FC, on Sunday, May 20th, kick-off 3.30pm 

The final has been delayed due to Beccles Town Under-13 team being away on an end-of-season tour to Holland.
