BOTH this weekend’s Suffolk Sunday Cup semi-final ties have been postponed.

The match between Mellis and Bungay Town scheduled for Kirkley & Pakefield FC fell foul of the weather on Wednesday.

A new date has not yet been confirmed.

The other tie involving Gym United and Kitchener Taverners at AFC Sudbury was called off on Thursday lunchtime.

Suffolk FA County Cups Competitions Manager Adrian Moye (pictured above) said: “Even though AFC Sudbury have a 3G pitch there is no let-up in the temperature before Sunday meaning the roads to Sudbury, paths and car park may not be in a safe condition for travelling supporters.

Gym United are involved in their national FA Sunday Cup semi-final on Sunday, March 11th, so the tie has been re-arranged for Sunday, March 18th, kick-off 2.15pm, at AFC Sudbury.
