Rivals avoid each other in last four
BOSTIK League Premier Division rivals Leiston and Needham Market have avoided each other in the semi-finals of this season’s Omni Freight Services Suffolk Premier Cup.
The two sides were involved in a thrilling semi-final last season which Needham won 4-2 on penalties following a 4-4 draw after extra time at Woodbridge Town FC.
Needham went on to lift the cup after defeating Lowestoft Town 3-2 in the final at Colchester United FC.
The pair will be favourites to meet in this season’s final, after being kept apart in Wednesday’s draw broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk.
Leiston will play Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Kirkley & Pakefield at Lowestoft Town FC on Tuesday, March 13th, kick-off 7.45pm.
Needham Market, meanwhile, will meet Bostik League North Bury Town at AFC Sudbury on Wednesday, March 14th, kick-off 7.45pm.
