Chance to discuss Safeguarding issues

SUFFOLK FA are to host a Safeguarding phone-in.

SUFFOLK FA are to host a Safeguarding phone-in –  an opportunity for any Club or League Welfare Officers, coaches, parents of players to discuss all things welfare in the game.

The phone-in will take place on Wednesday, December 12th from 5pm until 6.15pm, by calling 01449 616606 and then selecting option 2.

It will be hosted by Chief Executive Richard Neal, who is also the Suffolk FA Senior Safeguarding Lead, and Football Services Manager Darryn Marsh, who is the Suffolk FA Designated Safeguarding Officer.

Richard said: “Ensuring the safety and security of all involved in the game is our number one priority; frankly there is no point in offering football if those involved are at risk of abuse and malpractice.

“Complementing our day-to-day safeguarding work, this phone-in, which we will repeat at various points throughout the season, provides a specific time for anyone within the Suffolk football community the opportunity to discuss any matter regarding welfare within the game.”

Outside of this phone-in, anyone wishing to raise any Safeguarding issues can do so anytime via safeguarding@suffolkfa.com or by calling 01449 616606 and selecting option 2.
