High-scoring in Primary Cup ties

THERE were some high-scoring games in the Suffolk Primary Cup on Saturday.

THERE were some high-scoring games on Saturday in the third round of this season’s Suffolk Primary Cup.

Cavendish struck double-figures as they saw off Wortham 12-0, while two sides both scored eight away from home. Thurston won 8-3 at Claydon A and Ufford Sports Reserves were 8-4 victors over Tacket Street BBOB Reserves.

Brandon Town Reserves were 7-2 winners at Kedington and AFC Sudbury A defeated Ransomes Sports 6-1.

Two ties were settled on penalty shoot-outs following 3-3 draws. Felixstowe Rangers won 3-1 on penalties against Kirton Athletic Reserves and St Edmunds 1965 came out on top 6-5 in the shoot-out at Occold.

The draw for the fourth round will take place on the Suffolk FA Twitter feed at 12.30pm on Monday lunchtime.
