Senior Cup draw Aug 2018

Newcomers face away ties in cup

THE two new teams in the Suffolk Senior Cup have both been drawn away.

THE two newcomers in this season’s CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup have both been drawn away in the first round.

Felixstowe & Walton United Reserves will travel to fellow Thurlow Nunn League Division One side Leiston Reserves, while Trimley Red Devils, who won promotion to the Senior Division of the Touchline SIL last season, will play their first Senior Cup tie away to Cornard United of Thurlow Nunn Division One.

The tie of the round is arguably the local derby between Beccles and Bungay Town, who were last season’s losing finalists.

The draw was announced on BBC Radio Suffolk’s Matchday programme on Saturday afternoon. Pictured above at the draw are (left to right) Graeme Mac of BBC Radio Suffolk, Ken Hillyer, Business Development Manager at CNet Training, and Richard Neal, Chief Executive of Suffolk FA.
