SUFFOLK FA Youth Council are looking for new members to join for the 2018-19 season.

SUFFOLK FA Youth Council are looking for new members to join for the 2018-19 season.

The Youth Council are a selection of the best young leaders in the county to help develop young people by young people.

The past 12 months has seen Youth Council members Chay Hathway and Jourdan Kiwomya both starting roles as apprentices at The FA.

This is a great example of the pathways which can open up for you and experience that you are able to gain that can help you to develop your career.

Alex Shipp has also been accepted into The FA Leadership Academy 2018 and The FA Core Programme for a select group of the best young referees in the country to develop together.

There are also some Football Futures, sponsored by R Bugg Trading Ltd, events which are being lined up for this summer, which include a Coaching Experience Day, for young leaders aged between 14 and 22 years old.

Suffolk FA Youth Council Co-ordinator James Morley said: “We are looking for new members to join our Youth Council and continue the great work which has been taking place over the last few seasons.

“We are looking for enthusiastic and driven young leaders who want to help develop young people and want to develop their career pathway through the Youth Council.”

Suffolk FA Youth Council Chair Jourdan Kiwomya said: “This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to have a positive impact on football. The Youth Council can provide a lot for you personally, whether it’s experience for your first CV, learning from the staff employed at the county or at FA National Leadership camps.”

Alex Shipp, Youth Council Marketing Officer, said: “People applying should want to develop themselves as leaders, have good teamwork skills and be good at communicating.

“They should also have a passion for developing Youth football and leadership in the county and should want to develop themselves as well.”

The Youth Council are looking for young leaders aged between 16 and 25 to join and become an important member of the team.
