Event: New Managers CPD

Date: Friday 8th September 2023

Time: 6.30-8.30pm

Venue: Copleston Sports Centre, Ipswich, IP4 5HD

Tutor: Jamie Godbold (Former County Coach Developer & Lowestoft Town manager and academy coach)

Brief Content Description: 

This course builds on the information delivered on the L1 and will provide coaches with solutions to the challenges they are certain to face when agreeing to take on a new team. 

The course will be informative and will discuss dealing with players, parents, match days and training. Coaches that attend will leave with age appropriate session plans.

Event: Coaching Disabled Footballers CPD

Date: Sunday 1st October 2023

Time: 9.30am-12.30pm

Brief Content Description: 

Is your club offering disability opportunities? This CPD will help you with understanding the needs of disabled people, and does your club reach out to the right channels. How do you help them attend and retain them?

This 3-hour workshop will give you ideas for engaging disabled people and creating sessions to meet the needs of different abilities. How to adapt your sessions, and give you the confidence to deliver fun, effective sessions to meet the needs of your participants?

Whether you are running a club for participants with a disability or not this programme will benefit all.

FAQs

Absolutely. The FA runs events all over the country and for all levels. To explore events please visit our national CPD events page here.

If you're an FA Level 1 or 2 learner, continuous professional development hours are optional and so there is no longer a requirement for licensing .

If you're a UEFA qualified coach, however, you are required to complete 15 hours of CPD every three years to maintain your licence, which The FA recommends is best achieved by completing 5 hours per season
