Suffolk Remember Dennis Meadows

DENNIS Meadows, President of the Lowestoft & District Referees Association, sadly passed away on Saturday, July 8th, aged 88. He had suffered from a brain tumour, but still retained his witty sense of humour and his usual friendly manner.

Dennis was a long-serving member of Suffolk County FA, as well as a Referee and an Assessor. He was a dedicated member of the Lowestoft and District Referees' Association and had been their President for many years. He was always helping and supporting referees on the local parks.

Also a Norwich City season-ticket holder, Dennis was a long-serving member of Oulton Broad Motorboat Club and secretary of the local Neighbourhood Watch.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, July 25th at the Gorleston Crematorium at 3.10pm. It has been requested that no black is to be worn.

Donations in memory of Dennis will be shared by the Anglian Children’s Hospice at Quidenham and the Suffolk County Football Association Benevolent Fund.

Dennis will be greatly missed by everyone in the Lowestoft area and by so many other people who knew him.

Suffolk FA send their condolences go to his wife Doreen, son Hugh, daughter Rebecca and to all the family.
