Cockfield United Football Club are inviting applications for the vacant role of Reserve Team Manager.

They currently play in the Suffolk & Ipswich League with the first team in Division Two and the Reserves in Intermediate B, both coming off the back of strong fourth place finishes in the 2018-19 season.

Cockfield are a club that have ambitions to push forward both on and off the pitch with the social side a very important part of the club.

The club trains on Tuesday and Thursdays at their home ground during pre-season, then on a Tuesday evening in Bury St Edmunds during the season.

Expectations of the role:

  • Assist the First Team manager with training sessions.
  • Actively partake in squad selection.
  • Match Day – Team Selection and take warm up.
  • Attend social functions.

The club are willing to put funds towards FA Coaching Courses for the successful applicant and you will be free to choose your own Assistant Manager.

Long Melford FC are looking to recruit a new Manager/Coach (FA Level One minimum) to oversee their reserve team for the forthcoming campaign back in the Thurlow Nunn Reserve League. 

As part of the club’s ‘senior management team’, the successful applicant will work closely with the first team manager and coaches, supporting and delivering training sessions for both the first and reserve sides. 

They will also be responsible for managing the reserve team on match days.

The Ipswich-based club are a Suffolk FA Charter Standard Club with all coaches supported in gaining their FA Level 1 qualification.

The group train one evening during the week and play games on Saturday mornings.

Ipswich Valley Rangers FC have coaching vacancies for their U10 Girls’ and U11 Girls’ teams for the 2019/20 season.

The club have an established youth female football provision, which is one of the largest in the county and is built on player development and enjoyment. The 2018-19 season saw over 100 girls regularly playing football from the ages of 5 to 18.

Coaches will ideally have the FA Level 1 in Coaching qualification, however the club will fund this if applicants have not attained this to date.

Title: First Team Manager

Based at: Bures United Football Club, Nayland Road, Bures, Suffolk

Job Purpose: To plan and deliver structured and progressive coaching sessions and coach and motivate the team on match days.

 

Background

Founded in 1921 Bures United is a well-established village football team, catering for both youth and senior football.

As an integral part of the community we welcome players from the age of four through to adult.

The club has also achieved Charter Standard status based on its professional set up including qualified football coaches. Coaching staff are qualified to level 1 FA coaching as well as first aid and child welfare.

The club have an ambitious five-year plan to develop all teams and our facilities.

Men’s First Team

As a club we are proud of our self-motivated and aspirational first team. The team currently plays in the Essex & Suffolk Border League, First Division pushing for promotion. The team have been hugely successful, winning the Suffolk Primary Cup for two consecutive seasons.

The team and club share the ambition to move into the ESBL Premier Division, step 7 of the FA Non-League pyramid.

The club are looking for an experienced manager to lead them through this exciting time.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

  • To deliver football coaching sessions that develop individuals and the team.
  • To carry out administrative duties, including collection of subs and league paperwork
  • Represent the first team at club committee meetings and league meetings.

 

Qualifications

FA Coaching level 1 is essential, level 2 desired.

Emergency first aid qualification.

In addition the club would support ongoing qualification progression.

Walking Football Session Leader - EverydayActiv-Ipswich is a sport and physical activity programme largely for people who are over 50 and not currently playing regular sport. It is delivered by ActivLives in partnership with Ipswich Borough Council.

Currently two weekly Walking Football sessions in Ipswich are run on a Thursday and Friday afternoon. The sessions are held in and outdoors and are targeted at the 50+ age group. This is ‘social sport’ where the cuppa afterwards is as important as the game itself.

A Session Leader is required to help in covering these sessions. The role is to take the register and collect the session fees, lead the warm up, referee the game(s), and lead the warm down. You will then be making sure that the group enjoy a cuppa and a chat upstairs in the Community Room. You will be responsible for safely introducing any first-time participants to the session.

You will need to:

  • Have a relevant fitness, sport or PE qualification, preferably at level two or above
  • Have relevant sports leadership and/or sports coaching experience

You do not need to be a qualified football coach to be suitable for this role.

Hourly rates of pay for these sessions is £15
