In just six seasons of adult football AFC Kesgrave have achieved great success both on the field and off.

The first team have gained successive promotions in the Macron SIL from Division Three 3 and then winning Division Two and also winning the Suffolk FA Junior Cup in 2018 at Portman Road.

The Reserves have gained four promotions in those six seasons and now play at Intermediate A level. To help progress the club further they are looking for an additional coach/manager to work alongside the existing coaches within the adult set-up.

Being enthusiastic and sharing their vision for developing and coaching a young squad of players to progress and support the first team, the right person can expect the support of an excellent committee.

The successful applicant will ideally already be qualified to at least Level 1 and preferably with previous coaching experience at adult or Under 18s level football, although this is not essential.

Depending on your skills set and experience the right person or persons will have responsibility for either the Reserves (Int A) or the young development A Team (Division 4).

Anyone interested in joining this progressive club playing at one of the best facilities in the SIL then please get in touch with the club Chairman Dave Collins on

Wenhaston United are looking for a new Reserve Team Manager to take over the side currently competing in Macron SIL Intermediate B on Saturday afternoons.

Following six consecutive seasons playing in Intermediate ‘A’, the Reserves were relegated into Intermediate ‘B’ at the end of the 2018-19 season. Consolidation was the main aim this past season and with the abrupt end back in March, has been achieved.

The club’s goal is to push the Reserves back into Intermediate ‘A’ as soon as possible. This is a must for any club focusing on player development, and ease of integration of players between Reserves and first team.

It also sets the club on the right footing to give their first team adequate back up when required. Any player’s aim should be to play for the first team, which should go hand in hand with the ambitions of the Reserve manager.

The club is preferably looking for someone with experience, either at junior, U18 or adult level. However, this is not critical, as experience as a player with an amazing amount of enthusiasm, ambition and man-management skills would be just as important. The club would support any required courses, if deemed necessary, particularly if required by the FA.

The right person or persons will work alongside an existing committee and the first team management and coaching staff. They must have a keen interest in working with players both young and experienced. Developing younger players towards first team level is a key principle, using the experienced club players to assist when they can.

Wenhaston United is a village club, embedded with history and rich family values. They thrive to provide the community with local football, played with passion, fairness and, most of all, enjoyment.
