Maddison Youth Council 2024

Maddie

I am the current Suffolk FA Youth Council chair! I have been involved in football for several years in many different roles including playing, refereeing and coaching. The Youth Council is aiming to include everyone’s voice to make a positive impact in Suffolk. I am looking forward to supporting events and ensuring that the Youth voice is heard and used to make a positive difference to the game in Suffolk.

Lucy Youth Council 2024

Lucy

I am currently the Vice-Chair of the Suffolk FA Youth Council. I'm a governance administrator who has been involved in Suffolk football since late 2020. I have a passion for engaging young people in football administration, as it is vital to the survival of the county's footballing infrastructure. I also hope to give the perspective of how we can help engage neurodivergent and LGBT+ people in the county with football.

Amy Youth Council 2024

Amy

I’ve been coaching football since I was 15. The idea that I am sharing my love for football to help others feel the same enjoyment and have the best experience of football is the reason why I love being a coach. I joined the Suffolk FA Youth Council in the 2018-19 season. Being a member enables me to be a voice for young people in football. All young people in football deserve to have their opinion heard.

Ollie Youth Council 2024

Ollie

I played football until I was 14 when I stopped to become a football referee. I have very much enjoyed my refereeing career so far and Youth football has been vital to my development as I have progressed to Level 5. I am also on the Board as a Youth Trustee. I feel very privileged to have the opportunity to represent young people in Suffolk and am hoping to make a real difference to the county.

Ruben

I joined the Youth Council in November 2023 due to wanting to increase my love of the game and respect that Youth football has in it. I have been a referee since the age of 14, starting in November 2021, and actively referee in grassroots football as well as the Ipswich Town Youth Academy and the Thurlow Nunn Youth League.

Jamie

I am a 21-year-old from Lowestoft who loves playing and supporting Ipswich town. I joined the Youth Council to support my personal and professional development going into the sporting industry as I look to progress into representing a professional football club in a full-time role in the future. I am also keen to make connections in football specifically from not only playing but to see the other side of the game.

Charlie Youth Council 2024

Charlie

I used to participate in the Post-16 Football and Education Programme at Ipswich Town Foundation, where he now coaches. Outside of the workplace, I play Step 5 football and supports Queens Park Rangers. I am really looking forward to being part of a great team that plans on impacting the footballing community. There are some really great people on the Youth Council who will benefit Suffolk’s footballing scene.

George Youth Council 2024

George

I am based in Ipswich and have been officiating since I was 14. I am currently a Level 5 Suffolk FA Referee. I am involved with the Ipswich RA and continued to play football, referee and work with the local RA when I was away at university in Leeds. During my time within the Youth Council I hope to be able to help the transition from Youth to adult football and give back to grassroots football.

Have your say

The Youth Council have put together a survey and an idea suggestion form for young people to complete which allows individuals to provide information which enables feedback that can be used by the Youth Council to support young people in Suffolk.

If you can spare a few minutes to complete the survey, it would be a great benefit to the Youth Council.
