Tattingstone reach Senior Cup last four

TATTINGSTONE United are through to their first Suffolk Senior Cup Semi-Final.

TATTINGSTONE United are through to their first CNet Training Suffolk Senior Cup Semi-Final.

The village club, who made their debut in the competition only last season, defeated Haughley United, also of the Gateway SIL Senor Division, 3-2 in their quarter-final tie on Saturday.

They will join holders Trimley Red Devils, who edged past Mutford & Wrentham 1-0, in the final four. Mutford & Wrentham (black & white striped shirts) are pictured above in action versus Caister (red shirts) earlier this season.

The other two quarter-final ties are taking place this Saturday.

Mutford & Wrentham Reserves, meanwhile, lost an epic Portable Space Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup Quarter-Final tie 6-5 to Hadleigh United U23s on Saturday.

Framlingham Town U23s were 2-1 winners against fellow Thurlow Nunn League U23 North Division side Whitton United, while Haverhill Rovers U23s enjoyed a comfortable 6-1 victory over Halesworth Town Reserves.

The semi-final draw will take place this week and be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk on Friday and simultaneously released on the Suffolk FA X feed.

Moreton Hall Youth Ferals, whose scheduled opponents Thetford Wanderers withdrew from the competition after the draw was made, are the only confirmed side through to the last four of the Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Cup.

The other three ties were all postponed; Bury Town Bisons will now play Bedfield this Sunday, with the Portman Rovers versus Godolphin and Real Suffolk versus Kitchener Taverners matches now scheduled for February 16th.

Taverners progressed past The Golden Hind 2-1 to reach the semi-finals of the Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Shield, where they join Stowupland Falcons. The other two ties – Gainsborough United versus Bury Bowl and Red Star UK versus Hardwick FC – will now be held on February 16th.

Three of the four Best Badges Suffolk Sunday Trophy Quarter-Final fixtures went ahead, with Stradbroke United coming through 6-4 at Red Lodge Rovers and Barton Mills 3-2 at Palgrave Wanderers.

Stanton emerged 4-3 winners on penalties following a 1-1 draw at home to Felixstowe Wanderers.

The remaining tie featuring Northam Celtic and Ixworth will now be played on February 16th.

The semi-final draws for all three competitions will take place this week and be broadcast on BBC Radio Suffolk on Friday and simultaneously released on the Suffolk FA X feed.
