Safeguarding Children and Criminal Records Check (CRC)
If you are aged 16 and over and intend to officiate Youth football, you will need to have an in-date FA accepted CRC. This includes under-18 football.
Suffolk FA Referee Development Officer Mary Harmer said: “It is best practice for all referees to have a CRC and all our referees who join our workforce will require a CRC.
“In the event that you do not currently have an FA accepted CRC, or your current CRC is more than three years old and you indicate during your registration that it is your intention to officiate in Youth football during the 2016/17 season, you will be unable to complete the registration process.
“The CRC application guide can be found below where you will be able to begin your CRC process. We have arranged a number of dates listed below where you will be able to drop into Suffolk FA to assist with the registration process on a one-to-one basis. This will also be an opportunity to arrange to have your documents verified.”
