Beccles Town Reserves beat Long Melford Reserves 8-7 on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the Portable Space Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup on Saturday.

Then in the MH Goals Suffolk Women’s Cup on Sunday, AFC Kesgrave held higher-league East Bergholt United to a 4-4 draw, before East Bergholt progressed 9-8 on spot kicks.

Bungay Town and Brett Vale are also through to the final four of the MH Goals Suffolk Women’s Cup after away wins.

Brett Vale beat fellow Suffolk Girls’ & Women’s Football League Premier Division side Stowupland Falcons 2-0, while Bungay Town ran out 6-1 winners at Ipswich Vale Exiles. The draw for the semi-finals will be announced simultaneously on BBC Radio Suffolk’s non-League Hour and the Suffolk FA Twitter feed between 8pm and 9pm on Thursday.

Two of the three outstanding second-round ties in the McDonald’s Suffolk Primary Cup went ahead on Saturday afternoon.

Both home teams scored five times to reach round three – Framlingham Town ‘A’ saw off Hawthorn United 5-2 and Wenhaston United Reserves were 5-1 winners against AFC Kesgrave Reserves.
