Community Restart Fund Jan 2022

Restart grants are available again

CLUBS can once again apply for a Suffolk Community Sport Restart Grant.

CLUBS can once again apply for a Suffolk Community Sport Restart Grant.

The criteria for receiving a grant have been widened to take into consideration the fact that the majority of sports clubs have now reopened but may continue to need additional support to maintain and/or extend their activities in the future.

Sports clubs that have already received a Suffolk Community Sport Restart grant, or have had an application declined, are able to submit a further application.

One of the new criteria offers funding for volunteers and sports staff to obtain or update technical sport teaching and coaching qualifications.

National or local Governing Bodies may wish to apply directly for funding to enable coaching courses for voluntary and paid personnel involved in Suffolk based sports groups to attend face-to-face or online training, in-order to obtain or update teaching or coaching qualifications. Grants of between £250-£2,500 are available.

Through the Community Restart programme, Community Action Suffolk can provide, free of charge, individual places on their training courses (e.g. first aid, safeguarding, etc), or arrange a course specifically if there are more than 10 people from an organisation requiring the same training.

The updated Suffolk Community Sport Restart Grant criteria and guidance notes are attached below.
