Futsal funding deadline extended

SCHOOLS and venues still have an opportunity to receive money towards new Futsal goals.

SCHOOLS and venues in Suffolk still have an opportunity to receive money towards new Futsal goals.

The offer, which is in partnership with MH Goals Ltd has now been extended to Friday, July 31st. The Suffolk FA run scheme enables schools and organisations to receive a bursary for a maximum amount of £250 towards the goals.

The goals will need to be purchased through MH Goals Ltd, who are based in Beccles and are one of the UK’s leading sports equipment manufacturers and experts in goal post safety and design.

The goals that are available can be viewed by clicking here

As part of the application you will be required to supply the following information:

  • How will the goals develop, grow and sustain Futsal for your venue and the local community?
  • Who are you target audiences?
  • What plans do you have to work with Suffolk FA if you receive the bursary?

To qualify for the bursary, you must be a school or organisation / venue that operates in Suffolk and has the facilities to cater for Futsal.

As part of the application, there might be a site visit arranged to determine if the venue would be suitable for Futsal.

You can only apply for one Bursary per school, organisation or venue, multiple applications will not be accepted.

Suffolk FA Senior Football Development Officer Darren Scoulding said: “Recognising the challenges currently faced by schools and organisations as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, we wanted to provide these key partners with the maximum opportunity to benefit from this funding towards the cost of official Futsal goals.

“This will allow them to grow the game with their pupils and within the community, whilst linking with other partners to fully utilise this equipment for the full Futsal experience.

“We have already received some strong applications and continue to look for creative applications that bring to life initiatives that increase participation levels in this fast-paced game.”

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 31st 2020.

Any applications which are received after this date will not be accepted.
