Applications invited for Selection Day

DETAILS announced concerning Selection Day for the Ipswich Town Women Female Player Pathway.

APPLICATIONS are invited from talented female players to register their interest for the Selection Day for Ipswich Town Women Female Player Pathway.

Ipswich Town are looking for talented female players who play for a mixed team or who excel within their club environment or who have played within an Advanced Coaching Centre or Regional Talent Club.

This will be for age groups at U8, U10, U12, U14 and U16.

Due to COVID-19 guidelines from the government, the FA and Ipswich Town Football Club are awaited before announcing dates and the venue of the selection days.

 

Structure

Tier 1: Ipswich Town Academy - Girls Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) will allow talented players  to improve their skills through quality coaching licensed by The FA.

Players will benefit from coaching one evening a week at Ipswich Town Training Centre along with competitive fixtures representing the ACC against other regional ACC centres and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any players’ club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group, goalkeeper coaching, strength and conditioning support and access to physiotherapy.

More details regarding this programme will be released in due course.

 

Tier 2: Ipswich Town Community Trust - Girls Advanced Technical Centre (ATC) will allow talented players who are working towards the ACC the opportunity to improve their skills through quality coaching ran by Ipswich Town Community Trust.

Players will benefit from coaching at Needham Market's 3G venue one evening a week mixed with competitive fixtures representing the community trust against other football club community trusts and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any players’ club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group.

 

Tier 3: Ipswich Town Community Trust - Girls Elite Player Development Centre (EPDC) encourages aspiring players the opportunity to improve their skills through quality coaching run by Ipswich Town Community Trust.

Players will benefit from coaching at either an Ipswich or Bury St Edmunds venue one evening a week mixed with competitive fixtures representing the community trust against other football club community trusts and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any players’ club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group.

Community: Wildcats Girls’ ‘open access’ Football Clubs which provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment that will be hosted at Portman Road.
