SUFFOLK FA have announced upcoming FA Referee Courses in the county.

SUFFOLK FA have announced that you can now reserve your place on two upcoming FA Referee Courses in the county..

The two courses are starting on Friday, February 7th and Thursday, February 20th respectively. The first course, being held at Ipswich School Sports Club in Rushmere, is held over four consecutive Friday evenings with a break for the half-term week. The second course will be held at Stowupland High School during February half-term and consists of two full days.

The FA Referees Course is designed for anyone aged 14 and up who wants to join the tens of thousands of referees who operate week in week out on local parks, throughout the English football pyramid, up to those who officiate The FA Cup Final and on the International stage.

As a referee you play an integral role in ensuring all participants enjoy their match-day experience, helping create a competitive, fair, safe and enjoyable playing environment.

Whether you want to referee in Youth and adult leagues, men's or women’s football or have aspirations of one day walking the ball out at Wembley Stadium, The FA Referees Course is the starting point for your refereeing career.

Refereeing is not only rewarding in a football environment, but the social and life skills that come from becoming a referee extend far beyond your initial expectations.

All candidates must attend all sessions in order to receive their certification. Candidates will receive course materials as well as basic equipment including Whistle, Match Cards and Notebook as well as Assistant Referee Flags.

Anyone aged over the age of sixteen must complete a valid CRB check (Included) and attend a Safeguarding Children Workshop (Not Included).
