Coaching courses returning Aug 2020

Suffolk FA courses are set to resume

SUFFOLK FA are looking to re-start their Coach Education programme next month.

As society and indeed football looks to return to some form of normality, Suffolk FA are bringing back their Coach Education programme, with dates and venues currently being drawn up.

Coach education will see substantial changes in format and delivery method during the 2020-21 season, with Safeguarding & Protecting Children, Introduction to First Aid in Football, FA Level 1 in Coaching Football and the Welfare Officer Workshop all moving to a digital learning solution from March 2021.

Therefore, Suffolk FA are planning to offer a number of courses in their existing format that incorporate key practical elements coupled with coach and tutor interaction until December 31st 2020.

Please note that this format will NOT be available in Suffolk or any other county after this date.

Central to the planning is ensuring all measures possible are taken to keep everyone safe (smaller groups where required, sanitising stations, tutors with visors, track & trace recording measures to name but a few) but it is fully recognised that each person will have their own level of comfort with face-to-face, practical courses at this time.

Attendees will have a positive learning environment which fully complies with FA requirements for education courses, but will feature close interaction with other coaches, club officials, participants and tutors.

People currently booked onto courses which were cancelled or were already scheduled have been contacted directly.

The revised course delivery plan for the remainder of the year will be published once dates and venues have been agreed, and new attendees will be welcome where capacity allows.
