SUFFOLK FA are inviting women to join a steering group for their new Female Leadership Academy sponsored by McDonald’s.

The leadership programme will be aimed at promoting football roles such as coaching, refereeing, marketing, secretarial and chair to females in the county.

Suffolk FA Girls’ & Women’s Football Development Officer Rebecca Bolton said: “As a group the aim will be to inspire the next generation of females to take on roles within their local football clubs be it a male, female or a mixed team club.

“The steering group will meet up to six times a year to formulate ideas for a series of events to be held at various venues around the county.”
