In October 2018 Suffolk FA staff raised around £1,200 by undertaking a sponsored 24-hour cycling challenge to purchase a defibrillator for a grassroots club. This was subsequently presented to Holbrook Hornets Youth FC.

At least one life has been saved thanks to a defibrillator at a Suffolk club.

It was in September 2017 just before the local derby between Haverhill Rovers and Haverhill Borough that a supporter in his 60s collapsed after falling ill.
