SUFFOLK FA are to hold a Female Friendly Club Workshop.

The workshop, which will provide grassroots clubs with advice on growing female participation, will take place on Thursday, January 30th 2020.

The evening, which will be aimed at clubs who do not have a female section or wish to grow their girls’ section, will be held at Stowmarket Town FC from 6pm-9:30pm.

Food and refreshments will be supplied on the evening.

The session will be delivered by Sarah Thorp and Louise Gruchy-Craven, who are FA Consultants, along with Rebecca Bolton, Suffolk FA Girls’ & Women’s Football Development Officer.

Waveney FC will also be attending to explain how they got to where they are today size-wise and any struggles they encountered along the way.

The north Suffolk club are one of the largest in the country with 14 female teams, and club representatives will be on hand to talk about their journey and answer any questions.

Rebecca Bolton said: “The Female Friendly Club Workshop is aimed at any clubs who want to make their club more inclusive to females.

“It will show you how to make your club more female friendly and how you can try and grow your female teams.

“This could be a club with no female teams or a club who only have one or two teams that wants some ideas on how to grow.

“This will be a great way to network with other clubs who may have female teams currently or have had them in the past or don’t have female teams but clubs can share their experiences and work together to grow female football in Suffolk.”

Places at the workshop will be limited to two per club and places can be booked by clicking here

The closing date for bookings is on Monday, January 27th 2020.
