Chequers to host Albion in Shield

THE quarter-final draw has taken place for this season’s Suffolk Sunday Shield.

GREAT Blakenham Chequers will host Haverhill & Hove Albion in the quarter-finals of this season’s Suffolk Sunday Shield.

The Ipswich Sunday Football League side defeated The Feathers 5-3 to reach the last eight, while last season’s Suffolk Sunday Trophy runners-up were winning 10-1 at Rosary CC.

Baltic United, who are currently bottom of Bury & District Sunday League Division Two, will have home advantage versus The Exchange, who ousted Shotley Rose 3-2 on penalties following a 2-2 draw.

ISFL Division One side Sizewell Argyle will entrain Bungay Town, who play in the Norwich Sunday League, and the remaining tie sees Rushmere & Diamonds host Hardwick, leaders of BDSL Division Two.
