APPLICATIONS are invited from talented female players to attend Selection Day for the Suffolk Girls’ Elite Player Pathway.

Suffolk FA are looking for talented female players who play for a mixed team or who excel within their club environment or who have played within an Advanced Coaching Centre or Centre of Excellence under the old structure to attend selection days.

This will be for age groups at U10, U12, U14 and U16 and will take place on Saturday, July 6th at Ipswich Academy High School.

Players need to be committed to their football development to take a place in the season-long centre and be able to attend training each week.

The Suffolk Advanced Coaching Centre and Girls’ Development Centre have both been sponsored by HomeStore Self Storage for the past four years.

Structure

Tier 1: Advanced Coaching Centre (ACC) will allow talented players to improve their skills through quality coaching licensed by The FA. Players will benefit from coaching one evening a week with competitive fixtures representing Suffolk against other regional ACC centres and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any player’s club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group, goalkeeper coaching, nutrition advice and access to physiotherapy.

Tier 2: The Suffolk FA Girls Development Centre (GDC) will allow talented players who are working towards the ACC the opportunity to improve their skills through quality coaching run by Suffolk FA. Players will benefit from coaching at an Ipswich venue on a Monday evening mixed with competitive fixtures representing Suffolk against other regional GDC centres and/or appropriately selected teams.

The opportunity will not conflict with any player’s club football and will provide an advanced addition to their development including highly qualified coaches per age group.

Suffolk FA have reduced the amount of selection days to ensure higher attendance and the ability to play games during the selection day. If players are successful they will be contacted to attend the final selection day on Friday, July 19th.

U14 Selection | Venue – Ipswich Academy High School, Braziers Wood Road, Ipswich, IP3 0SP | Saturday, July 6th 2019. Registration at 12:15pm, playing time 12.30pm-2pm

U16 Selection | Venue – Ipswich Academy High School, Braziers Wood Road, Ipswich, IP3 0SP | Saturday, July 6th 2019. Registration at 2:15pm, playing time 2.30pm-4pm
