Update: New date for Premier Cup semi tie

A NEW date has been fixed for the postponed Suffolk Premier Cup Semi-Final.

A NEW date has been arranged for the KBB NEFF Suffolk Premier Cup Semi-Final between Stowmarket Town and Felixstowe & Walton United which was postponed on Tuesday due to a waterlogged pitch.

The tie will now take place on Tuesday, March 26th, again at the Millfield, home of Hadleigh United FC.

If the match is called off that day due to adverse weather conditions, there will be a contingency plan to play the match the following evening, Wednesday, March 27th, again at Hadleigh United FC.

The tie was called off following a late afternoon pitch inspection on Tuesday at the Millfield.

The expected rain had stayed away until after lunchtime, but heavy rain during the afternoon left the pitch unplayable and referee Paul Quick was left with an easy decision.

A new date will be re-arranged in due course.

The second semi-final between Leiston and Ipswich Town Under-18s is scheduled for Wednesday evening at the Goldstar Ground, home of Felixstowe & Walton United FC.
