McDONALD’S are to co-sponsor this year’s KBB Suffolk FA Grassroots Festival.

This year’s festival is taking place at Whitton United FC on Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th.

McDonald’s who have sponsored the Suffolk FA Awards Ceremony for the past four years, have now agreed to sponsor the festival, which is set to be the biggest yet since it was first held in 2011.

They will be joint sponsors of the two-day event with long-time sponsors The KBB Centre, the Ipswich-based Kitchens, Bedrooms and Bathrooms company.

This year’s festival will include a Youth Disability Festival and Walking Football for the first time, while England legend Kelly Smith has agreed to attend the festival on the Saturday.

McDonald’s franchisee Carol Rogerson said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to sponsor this event and work closely with the Suffolk FA and KBB at this festival.  The event is all-inclusive and will be a great weekend for local football.”

KBB Director Roger Peck said: “From KBB’s point of view, it’s great to have a main stream company like McDonald’s joining the Grassroots Festival partnership.”

Suffolk FA Mini Soccer & Youth Football Development Officer James Morley said: “We are delighted that McDonald’s have agreed to extend their sponsorship of Suffolk FA.

“It is testament to the high regard that the Festival is held in that a major brand such as McDonald’s wish to be involved in the event.

“We are very grateful to Carol and McDonald’s for sponsoring the festival, and their support of the event will enable us to deliver the biggest and best Festival there has been so far.”
