Senior Reserve Cup Final venue switch

THE venue for the Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup Final has been switched.

THIS season’s Days Sports Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup Final venue has been switched to Bury Town FC.

The final was scheduled to be hosted by Leiston FC – an agreement that was announced several weeks ago. However, following the completion on the semi-finals last Saturday, arrangements have been made to change the venue to the Denny Bros Stadium, home of Bury Town FC.

Stowmarket Town defeated Trimley Red Devils 5-2, while Walsham-le-Willows won 3-2 against Framlingham Town in their last-four ties.

Suffolk FA Chief Executive Richard Neal said: “We congratulate Stowmarket Town FC Reserves and Walsham-le-Willows FC Reserves for reaching the final of the Days Sports Suffolk Senior Reserve Cup, originally scheduled to be hosted by Leiston FC, kick off 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 23rd.

“Together with Leiston FC, we recognise the travel requirements for these two teams, their friends, family and supporters to arrive at the ground in time to make full preparations for a County Cup Final would have been difficult. Therefore we have agreed to move the venue of the final, and are delighted that Bury Town FC will host at their Denny Bros Stadium home ground. All other details for the final remain the same.

“We thank Leiston FC, Bury Town FC, Stowmarket Town FC, Walsham-le-Willows FC, the match officials, and competition sponsors Days Sports for their flexibility, and look forward to an excellent final.”
