Suffolk FA Football Development Manager Jodie Allard said: “The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Awards give us a fantastic opportunity to recognise and reward the invaluable work of our volunteer workforce across the county of Suffolk.

“Grassroots football could not take place without the tenacious and selfless commitment of hundreds of individuals who contribute many hours of their time towards supporting their local communities through football.

“If you have a grassroots hero at your football club, we would encourage you to nominate them for one of this year’s award categories.”

The categories for this year’s awards are chosen to reflect the diversity of our football communities and the positive impact of football.

Suffolk referee George Byrne not only won the county award last year, but went on to win the national award.

The FA’s Progressive, Respectful, Inclusive, Determined, and Excellent, values and behaviours are the backbone of The FA and McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards.

We’re looking for people who make these values part of clubs, leagues and local communities.

When making a nomination think about how you can evidence the difference and impact on those around them.
