THIS year’s Suffolk FA Youth Conference will take place next month.

Following the success of the staging the event at Ufford Park, near Woodbridge last year, this year’s conference will be held at the same venue on Tuesday, November 13th.

The topic for this season’s event will be ‘Youth to Adult Transition’. This is an important topic in the current climate of sport in how to assist young players’ progress into the adult game and continue to enjoy playing football.

John Folwell and Dermot Collins, who are The FA’s National Participation Managers for Youth and Adult Football respectively, will lead on the workshops and drive discussion between all of those in attendance.

With the topic being Youth to Adult Transition, both adult and Youth leagues, clubs and volunteers who run their respective set-ups are invited to attend.

Suffolk FA Mini-Soccer & Youth Football Development Officer James Morley said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming members of the Suffolk footballing community to Ufford Park in a few weeks’ time to discuss all things youth to adult transition.

“This is going to be an opportunity to discuss with National FA staff and influential people from their areas of expertise throughout the county to use their knowledge and experience to try to find positive outcomes to a topic which affects football and sport nationally and develop the pathways in Suffolk.”

The cost of attending the Youth Conference is £10 per person and numbers are limited to 60. The closing date for bookings is 5pm on Tuesday, November 6th.
