Brandon begin cup bid with home tie

BRANDON Town will begin their Suffolk Junior Cup bid with a home tie.

BRANDON Town will begin their bid to make it third time lucky in the Suffolk Junior Cup with a home tie in the first round against Sporting 87.

After losing in the semi-finals in each of the last two seasons, Brandon will be aiming to go one better this time around.

Brandon lost 4-1 to AFC Kesgrave in their semi-final tie last season, after losing 2-1 to eventual winners Bacton United 89 in the last four in the 2016-17 season.

Last season’s winners AFC Kesgrave have a bye in the first round while Trimley Red Devils, who they defeated 3-2 in the final at Portman Road, will be playing in this season’s Suffolk Senior Cup.
