SUFFOLK FA have vacancies for five geographical area representatives on their Council.

Suffolk FA are a limited company with income generated through club and league membership, referee registrations, coach and referee education courses, discipline, sponsorship and grants.

Income is re-invested into the game through the company’s business plan and department strategies to ensure all those involved in Suffolk football have the best possible football experience.

Suffolk FA Chairman Phil Lawler said: “There are currently opportunities for a number of voluntary roles on our Council and we would be delighted to hear from individuals who are passionate about the grassroots game and can bring enthusiasm, commitment and expertise to our team.”

Suffolk FA Council will elect a number of geographical area representatives at the Suffolk FA AGM on Thursday, July 13th.

The geographical area representatives are elected to represent all affiliated clubs within the area of the county upon which they reside.

There are two geographical area representatives in each of the five areas of the County: North Suffolk, Mid Suffolk, Ipswich, West Suffolk North and West Suffolk South. This summer a geographical area representative is being recruited in all five areas of the county.

Phil Lawler added: “Geographical area representatives should have a passion for supporting clubs, particularly those experiencing difficulties, to govern and develop the game effectively on behalf of their members.”

In order to be considered for one of the geographical area representative vacancies, you will need to be nominated by two clubs within the area of the county you reside that are currently affiliated to Suffolk FA.

Once you have identified these clubs, please complete the nomination form attached at the bottom of this page.
