Goals Galore In Primary Cup Third Round

THERE were goals galore in the third round of the Suffolk Primary Cup on Saturday.

A total of 87 goals were scored in 13 ties at an average of 6.69 per game!

Leading the way were Kirkley & Pakefield ‘B’ who won 11-0 at home to Saxmundham Sports Reserves and Elmswell, who were 11-2 winners at home to Mendlesham Reserves.

Bury St Edmunds-based Vipers beat Carlton Colville Town Reserves 8-3, and there were also 11 goals as Suffolk Punch Haverhill won 7-4 against Bramford Road Old Boys Reserves.

Holders Bures United were 4-0 winners at Stanford Reserves, while Bury St Edmunds side Bedricks Worth also hit four as Bungay Town ‘A’ were beaten 4-2. Action from the match is pictured above with Bedricks Worth (white shirts) taking on Bungay Town ‘A’ (sky blue shirts).

The draw for the fourth round will be announced on Wednesday.
