New Bursary Scheme To Benefit Coaches

SUFFOLK Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background (BAME) coaches can benefit from a new bursary scheme being rolled out nationally by The FA.

By clicking on the link at the foot of this page, you’ll have the chance to apply for one of two FA coaching bursaries, both of which offer support towards the cost of an FA course.

Which course that contribution will support is dependent on the bursary you are eligible for. If you hold your FA Level 2 qualification, the Grassroots Bursary will support you with signing up to The FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football.

If, however, you are currently working in the professional game and you already hold either The FA Level 3 (UEFA B) in Coaching Football or The FA Level 4 (UEFA A) in Coaching Football, the Professional Bursary is for you. It will support you to take The FA Level 4 (UEFA A) in Coaching Football, The FA Advanced Youth Award or The FA Level 5 (UEFA Pro Licence) in Coaching Football.

The application process should take only a matter of minutes, but before you start please make sure you have the following to hand to ensure your experience is as smooth as possible:

  • Action plan from previous FA coaching course
  • A completed personal statement
