The Veterans' Cup, which is contested by adult over-35 sides playing Sunday league football, has been in existence since the 2008-09 season.

The cup was won in each of the first two seasons by Kirkley & Pakefield.

They are one of four sides to have won the competition twice. All four sides - Kirkley & Pakefield, Leiston, Bury Town and Woodbridge Town - have won the cup and then retained it the following season.

Bury Town and Woodbridge Town met in three successive finals, with Bury winning the first two and then Woodbridge coming out on top on the third occasion.

Woodbridge appeared in their fifth final in a row in 2019, but were beaten 4-1 by a Whitton United side containing three former Ipswich Town players - Titus Bramble, Kieron Dyer and Carlos Edwards.

The same two sides met again in the 2019-20 final, which was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic until early the following season, with Whitton United this time winning 3-0 to retain the cup.

The 2021-22 final saw Whitton United make it four successive victories, after defeating Lowestoft Town 10-0 - the first time a team has scored double figures in an adult county cup final.
