The scheme launched in August 2010 when the Suffolk FA negotiated a heavy discount with local supplier Mark Harrod Limited across their full range of goalposts, from mini-soccer to full-size 11v11 goals.
In addition the Suffolk FA is offering a contribution of £100 (1 set per applicant) which can be claimed back at the end of the process.
All clubs affiliated to the Suffolk FA for the 2011-12 season are eligible to apply for support.
Also Parish Councils and Local Authorities are eligible if their main user is an affiliated Football Club. In this instance the club must be named.
Due to the limited nature of the funding on offer, each club is limited to 1 set of goalposts.
The applicant will also need to demonstrate the need for replacement goalposts by sending by email a photograph of the old and unsafe goalposts.
Step 1 - Club selects goalposts from Mark Harrod Limited pricelist (see PDF attached under related documents).
Step 2 - Club informs Suffolk FA of intention to order goals and sends photograph to Suffolk FA seeking authorisation for County FA contribution. Suffolk FA will provide a Yes or No response within 48 hours.
Step 3 - Applicant orders goalposts directly from Mark Harrod Limited at reduced price.
Step 4 - Club pays for goals DIRECTLY to Mark Harrod Limited. After goals are delivered, the applicant presents the paid invoice to the Suffolk FA who will issue a £100.00 contribution to the applicant.
