Capel have a thriving youth set up within the club, with over 150 youths signed on for their girls’ and boys’ teams. The U18 manager will be responsible for preparing the boys for their first taste in Adult football, having been coached through the club at youth level.
While no experience at U18 football is necessary, some experience within later Youth or Adult football would be advantageous.
The club see this as a position of importance as you will be responsible for player retention at Youth level and indeed continued development in preparation for Adult football.
Support around coaching qualifications will be provided to the right individual, if needed, and the club are also happy for the right person to bring players in as some additions are currently required to the squad.
The Reserve team manager position is also available. Capel will be playing 2017-18 football in Intermediate C of the SIL (unless there are any changes at the league AGM).
With a fairly young squad this role is ideal for someone who is looking to get into management for the first time, or to take the step up from Youth football.
There are a few ‘wise heads’ among the squad who are able to support where necessary. Whilst promotion back up the ladder would be desirable, the main aim for this role is to develop younger members of the squad enabling them to progress to Senior football.
The structure is in place within the Youth set up to bolster the squad every season, although the club are happy for the right candidate to attract players as they see necessary.
If you find progression of players under your management rewarding, the club want to hear from you.
If you are interested in either of these managerial roles, want more information or to apply, please contact the Adult Section Manager Brian Marr on 07803 144308.
