In order for leagues to affiliate all clubs playing within the league must have also affiliated.
In addition to this any five-a-side/small-sided competitions, cup competitions and one-off matches must also be correctly affiliated with Suffolk FA.
To register your club, league or other competition with Suffolk FA you will need to contact our County Headquarters to gain access to the online affiliation Portal. This can be done by calling us on 01449 616606.
All charity competitions in Suffolk must be affiliated to Suffolk FA.
This can be done by completing the Affiliation Form and Form E, accompanied by a copy of the competition's rules, and return this with the correct remittance to Suffolk FA, Bill Steward House, The Buntings, Stowmarket, Suffolk, IP14 5GZ.
Before returning the Form E, please make sure that all clubs in your charity competition are affiliated to their respective county associations for the ensuing season.
The Following FA Rules will be strictly enforced:
Competitions that comprise of more than one match:
a) Must register by June 30 in each year.
b) Those run on a league basis MUST contribute not less than one tenth of the Gross Receipts of each match to an approved Charity.
c) Those run as a Challenge Competition MUST contribute not less than one tenth of the Gross Receipts of all preliminary rounds and at least one third of the Gross Receipts of the Semi-Final and Final Ties.
One Match played for a trophy or mementoes:
a) Permission to play these matches MUST be applied for not later than April 1, by application to the Football Services Manager.
b) The gross proceeds (from all sources), subject to reasonable expenses - which may not exceed 20% - must be paid over to the charity for which the match is played within 14 days of the date of the match and a receipt for this, together with a statement of account of the match MUST be sent to the chief executive officer within the same period.
Public Liability Insurance
Please note that clubs already affiliated to Suffolk FA are covered by the Public Liability Insurance as detailed in the county handbook. Unaffiliated or 'ad hoc' teams are not covered by this insurance but it can be purchased for £35, paid to Suffolk FA.
All football clubs in Suffolk should be affiliated to Suffolk FA. Clubs wishing to enter a League must be affiliated in order to be accepted by their desired League.
Club affiliation fees for the 2015-16 Season are as follows:

Charter Standard Clubs - £42 per Club
Each Team within a Club - £2 per team

Matches Against Foreign Opposition
Any Suffolk teams intending to play against foreign opposition; must apply to Suffolk FA at least 28 days before the match by completing the form.
Affiliated associations, leagues and clubs wishing to play associations, leagues or clubs of another nationality must apply to The Football Association, via their county football association, for consent to play at least 28 days before the date of the intended match in accordance with FA Rule B.4(b). As soon as The Football Association has consented to a match then it will inform the other association concerned.
Applicants must demonstrate that head teachers have given approval for players to take part in these events where players are actually being taken out of school even for half a day to facilitate travel arrangements.
All matches must be played strictly in accordance with the Laws of the Game.
Clubs will, no doubt, desire to reciprocate the welcome and hospitality given when abroad and should consider the importance of appointing an official liaison officer to the visiting party.

The cost for affiliating a one-off match is £10.00.

FA Regulations require that all competitions and tournaments should be properly affiliated to the local county FA.

The fees are as follows:
Leagues (Small Sided) £10.00 plus Vat per Slot/Team
One/Two Day Tournaments £10.00 inc Vat
Tournaments held over more than two days:
Where competitions/tournaments are not held on one day only, it is necessary to affiliate each team separately. Fee £6.00 each team.
Where club teams are already affiliated to their county FA, it is necessary to quote their current affiliation number on the Form D supplied. No further fee is required for these teams but they must consist of players registered with their league.
A copy of the proposed rules of your competition must be submitted with your application form for approval.
