'Female Friendly' Coaching Courses

Suffolk F.A are pleased to promote 2 upcoming coaching courses as ‘female friendly’.

The Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses in May 2010 will aim to encourage female coaches to attend and a number of ‘female’ only places have been allocated for this course.

We appreciate that some women find an all male environment intimidating and we are hoping that by targeting certain courses as 'female friendly' we will have a larger number of women on these courses together and break down the barriers that some women may face in becoming qualified coaches.

Female coaches can attend any of the coaching courses scheduled throughout the year as well and these ‘female friendly’ courses. The dates of the ‘female friendly’ courses are shown below:

FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate (10 female places available)
The course will take place at Ipswich Town Football Club, Portman Road. The course will run on the following dates:

8th & 9th May Initial training 9am-6pm
18th May Child Protection Workshop 6.30-9.30pm
20th May Emergency First Aid workshop 6.30-9.30pm
29th May Assessment 9am-6pm

FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate (5 female places available)
The course will take place at Greshams Sports Centre, Ipswich. The course will run on the following dates:

10th-15th May Initial training 9am-7pm
19th September Continuation Day 9am-7pm
17th October Continuation Day 9am-7pm
30th & 31st October Assessment Days 9am-7pm
