Postals Comeback Stuns Police

1:51 PM, Friday, 22 May 09. Inter-Firm Cup

Ipswich Postals lifted the re-launched Ipswich Inter-Firm Cup on Tuesday night following a 2-1 victory over defending champions Ipswich Area Police!

The Cup Competition for businesses in the Ipswich Area started back in October with eight teams taking part. The Final saw Ipswich Postals face Ipswich Area Police at Hadleigh United Football Club in front of a crowd of well over 100 people.

The game started off with the Police firmly on top and they deservedly went in at half-time 1-0 up. However, Postals obviously regrouped during the break and came out all guns blazing in the second-half, scoring two goals to overturn the deficit.

Suffolk FA would like to thank Hadleigh United Football Club for providing the use of their excellent facilities and congratulate both Ipswich Postals and Ipswich Area Police on their achievements in this year's competition.

The drama and quality of the Final summed up the high standard of the competition, and with other businesses already registering their interest in competing in next year's competition, the Ipswich Inter-Firm Cup looks certain to prosper year-on-year.
