At the end of May 2008 Framlingham Town Under 10 team went to a fair play festival at Ipswich Town Portman Road organised by Suffolk FA.

As a result they were chosen to represent Suffolk at the National Festival at Wembley on Monday 11th August 2008.

Framlingham first of all went to Northwick Park at Wembley where they played 4 games against other teams from throughout the Country. Winning one, drawing two and losing one was a good result against some of the best teams in the age group. There was also a chance to try some skills and have a photo taken with the Charity Shield.

From there the team went to Wembley Stadium. Going through the tunnel to the pitch was an "awesome experience". They then had a team photo with the legend Sir Geoff Hurst before playing a game on the Wembley turf. The Framlingham team played a team from the Grimsby area, winning with a stunning goal from Matthew Wright following some great build up play from the whole team. Also putting in an appearance were England Manager Fabio Capello and Sir Trevor Brooking. Following the game the players were presented with a medal and the team received a plaque for the clubhouse gallery.

Afterwards a club spokesperson said, "This was such a great experience for the players and a memory that I am sure will remain with them for many years. It was also a fantastic day for the manager, the coaches, the parents and supporters."
