As the season draws to a close it’s time to think about how we can say ‘thank you’ to all the volunteers who keep football going every week, up and down the Country. The Football Association has produced a certificate and new for this year a FA Volunteer pin badge for clubs and league volunteers, which your Club/League can present to your volunteers as one way to recognise their contribution to the game.
If your club would like to order some certificates, and pin badges please write to the Media Group by the end of May.

Certificates and pin badges will then be sent to you by the end of June. Clubs/leagues can also nominate a person using the nomination form, to be considered by their County Football Association for a County award. This form should be returned to your County FA by 31st May 2008
County FA’s will be able to present 5 County Awards. Each County FA will be invited to nominate one person to the FA. From these nominations the FA will choose 7 people to receive National Football Workforce Awards for their contribution to football during the 2007-08 season.
In addition you can nominate to your County FA a Young Volunteer [Under 18 at start of the season] for recognition. The County FA can chose 1 Young winner and nominate this person to The FA who in turn will chose 3 Young Volunteers to attend The FA Community Shield.
If you do have any queries please do not hesitate to contact your County FA, and thank you and all your colleagues for all you do on behalf of our national game.
