The Suffolk Girls’ Football League has completed two full seasons. The league caters for teams at under 11, under 12, under 13, under 14 age and under 15 age groups. Under 11 to under 13’s play 7 a side matches with a progression to 9 a side for the under 14’s and 15’s.
For the 2005/6 season a total of 43 teams entered the league, a figure which has been built upon year after year. We hope to continue to attract more teams to strengthen the league further, enhance the competition, and to really support girls’ football in Suffolk!

3 LIONS FC COACHING COURSES / SCHOOL CLUB LINK
3 Lions FC is targeted at girls aged 5-16 and is a 6 week Girls Football Coaching Course designed by the FA, to encourage progression from school football into Charter Standard Clubs. The coaching course runs for 6-8 weeks and is held in conjunction with schools and clubs. 3 Lions FC offers regular football coaching to players irrespective of ability with the emphasis on learning new skills and having fun.
The course aims to:
- Establish links between schools and clubs and coaching support for players/staff.
- Provide clubs with an intake of new players.
- Provide equipment & promotional resource packages to all clubs/schools hosting courses.
- Give players the opportunity to play in a fun, friendly and safe environment throughout the duration of the course and then the opportunity to progress to playing regularly as part of a charter standard club.
