Suffolk FA - developing football for everyone
Development - take your skils to the next level

Womens & Girls Football

Suffolk FA aims to provide opportunities for girls and women to take part in football regardless of ethnicity, age and location in the County.

Currently, Suffolk have 23 affiliated Women’s teams and 67 girls teams.

Taster football sessions and 3 Lions FC are available to develop girls football in schools with links being formed with local clubs.

In addition to the grassroots opportunities available to girls in the county, those players wanting to further develop their skills are catered for by the 2 player development centres based at Ipswich & Bury St Edmunds, and also Ipswich Town FC’s Girls Centre of Excellence.

Suffolk also has a women’s league, which enables players over the age of 16 the chance to play in a safe and friendly environment.
