Small Sided football has become the most popular team sport throughout the UK. Because of this Suffolk County FA will be launching its new small sided football league ‘Suffolk Sixes’ which aims to increase participation in small sided football while also raising the standards of football delivery throughout the county.
Suffolk County FA will be launching a new small sided football league in Felixstowe starting June 10th this summer. If you are looking to create your own team with friends or work colleagues, or for additional fixtures to play with your existing team mates, then Suffolk Sixes adult small sided football leagues could provide the perfect opportunity for you.
Suffolk Sixes Felixstowe league will start June 10th and run for approximately 10 weeks. The competition will be a six-a-side league format consisting of 40 minute matches with each team playing one fixture each week. All fixtures will be played on Tuesday evenings between 7-9pm at the new Astroturf at Orwell High School.
Every Suffolk Sixes fixture will be officiated by a qualified, registered referee who has attended the FA Small Sided Referees Conversion Course. So if you’re a referee and you’re looking for some extra work this summer why not get involved with Suffolk Sixes?
The competition in Felixstowe will act as a pilot and if successful we will look to launch Suffolk Sixes full time in the area and start to introduce small sided leagues to other areas throughout the county.
