Small Grant Scheme

The small grant scheme provides funding for projects which use football to increase participation by both players and volunteers. This is done by supporting the costs associated with providing new activity.

Can you apply?

We welcome applications from any not-for profit groups, including:

  • community groups
  • youth clubs
  • football clubs
  • education establishments
  • Individuals and profit making organisations cannot apply.

What do we give money for?

  • training courses
  • hire of FA qualified coaches
  • hire of qualified/affiliated referees
  • facility hire
  • affiliation and league costs
  • publicity and promotion
  • recruitment events
  • first aid kits
  • travel expenses

How much money can we give you?

  • A grant offer will not exceed 90% of the total project cost.
  • The maximum total project cost must not exceed £10,000 typically across a three year period.
  • The maximum available Community Small Grant is £9,000.

Please discuss your project with Suffolk FA's Football Development Manager Chris Pringle before you begin your application and again before you submit it to the Football Foundation.
