Suffolk FA - developing football for everyone
About Us - promoting local football

Football Plan

You may be aware of the Football Associations consultation and review of grassroots football that has taken place over the last year. The exercise involved 16,000 stakeholders from all areas of the game and the resulting strategy is underpinned by independent robust quantitative and qualitative research which has shaped the strategies goals.

How will we do it?

By underpinning each goal with a comprehensive list of agreed activities that will be set out in the Suffolk Football Plan 2008 - 2012:

Each activity will have measurable targets – all focused on delivery of a specific goal.

The task of Suffolk FA is to consult with as many people as possible in the County who participate in football.

To this end Suffolk FA are setting up a Steering Committee and we want to include a player, a referee, an administrator and in particular business men\women who have opinions on how all\any aspects of football in the County can be improved.

The Steering Committee would then, through its Terms of Reference, be charged with introducing a means of ensuring that the views of people from the football community in the County are obtained. This may not be a comfortable experience for Suffolk FA but people with radical but achievable opinions are particularly welcome.
