How did you become involved in football and when?
When I was about 5 years old I started playing for Woodbridge Town Youths. My Dad was Manager at Framlingham Town and my Brother also played so for as long as I can remember I have played and watched Football.
What is your memorable achievement in football to date?
I have been lucky enough to play at Portman Road, which was fantasic, as was coming back from 4-2 down with 5 minutes to go to win 5-4 and clinch promotion with my Sunday team last season.
However, winning the Suffolk Schools Under 19 Cup with Farlingaye High School Sixth Form is probably the most memorable. It was great to play in the same team as my friends who I have known since I was at Primary School and to be part of all the banter, so for us to actually go on and win the competition , which was the first time the School had ever done so, was brilliant.
What is your role within Suffolk FA?
I am part of the SFA Governance Team and my work involves dealing with Affiliations, Discipline, SuffolkFA.com and County Cup Competitions.
What is the biggest challenge within your role?
Trying to find ways of reducing the workload of our Club Secretaries. One example would be the new Online Teamsheet that we have introduced for the 2009-10 season.
Who is your favourite team?
Middlesbrough FC – Since supporting Boro I have see us lose three domestic Cup Finals (two in 1997, one in 1998) win the Carling Cup in 2004, reach the UEFA Cup Final in 2006 (where we were thrashed 4-0!) and get relegated twice!
